Honda is currently present in the 110-125cc scooter segment, 110-180cc mass market motorcycles, 250cc and above premium motorcycle segment. This was possible for the company by creating a huge line of products under its portfolio at the same time, increase its sales and service reach in rural areas. Other than manufacturing bikes and scooters, the Japanese manufacturer also assembles its big bike – the CBR 650F in India. Honda manufactures a wide range of two-wheelers in India via its four production facilities – Manesar in Gurgaon, Tapukara in Rajasthan, Narsapura in Karnataka and the new Vithalapur unit in Gujarat. The company deserves credit for pioneering the scooter segment in India through the Activa range of scooters.
